The Gratitude Jar

Updated: May 13, 2024

This simple habit can have a profound effect on our mental and emotional wellbeing.

Focusing on what we have to be grateful for encourages us to not only become a more positive person, but also lowers our stress, gives us more energy and helps us sleep better.

So l invite you to grab a jar, a pen and some pieces of paper. Make it a habit to write down things you are grateful for, good things that happened to you in the course of your day, things that made you smile or laugh or sparked joy, no matter how big or how small, and place them in the jar. Do this daily, or once a week.

Save them up for the end of the year, or on difficult days pull a few slips to encourage yourself.
